TPE is a thermoformed material with an original form of solid. When heated to above 200 degrees Celsius, it becomes liquid and will turn back to solid after cooling down. A key step of the production is to pour liquid TPE into a doll shaped mold and after the TPE material cools down, a TPE doll is made.
TPE material has extremely high ductility and can be stretched to very long lengths without breaking (our TPE formula has a stretch rate of approximately 12 times).
TPE materials have excellent elasticity and softness and are widely used for making sexual products, such as flashlights and famous Japanese sex toys. However, those relatively cheap and low-end TPE formulas are different from the ones we use on our products. The TPE material we use has good softness, no unpleasant odor, and produces relatively less oil.
TPE material comes with great instant ductility, which means it can stretch tremendously in a very short period of time. But if it is kept in a stretched position for a long time, it will still suffer from tearing, we should avoid this.
TPE materials age faster than silicone and have a shorter storage life. Generally, the dolls can maintain in great shape for about 3 to 5 years with good care.
Due to the molecular characteristics of the TPE material, the doll’s makeup will not stay permanently and will slowly fade over time. This is true for all TPE dolls currently available on the market, without exception.
